Before joining the Sunrise Police Department, Kotrady also served with the Haverhill Police Department, where he gained valuable experience and honed his skills as a law enforcement officer. His time with the Haverhill PD provided him with a solid foundation in police work, which he carried with him throughout his career. Kotrady's time with the motorcycle unit of the Sunrise Police Department allowed him to utilize his love for motorcycles while also carrying out his duties as a police officer. He was known for his precision riding skills and his ability to navigate through traffic with ease, making him a valuable asset to the department. During his tenure with the Sunrise Police Department, Kotrady received numerous commendations for his dedication to duty and his commitment to serving the community.
