about

In addition to his impressive law enforcement career, Kurt Kortrady has also been heavily involved in his community. He has been a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale, serving in various capacities such as the Christmas pageant and as a lead security agent for the Pastor and his family. Kurt has also been a dedicated volunteer at the MAKE a WISH foundation since 2004, forming a special connection with a child named Austin Farmer. He continues to serve and volunteer with the foundation to this day. Furthermore, Kurt is a volunteer at the Broward County Humane Society, where he and his friends formed a security group to assist with animal welfare. He also takes the initiative to mentor court-ordered volunteers, guiding them towards a brighter future through open conversations about their experiences and goals. Aside from his community involvement, Kurt is a proud member of The Hundred Club, an organization that supports family members of fallen firefighters and law enforcement officers. Currently, he is an active member of Calvary Chapel church, serving as a greeter at the door entrance. Despite his busy schedule, Kurt also finds time to be a good neighbor, helping out with tasks such as cutting lawns and cleaning pools for those in need. He takes pride in being a responsible and caring father to his son Jeffrey, who has followed in his father's footsteps by excelling in education, getting married, and becoming a pastor. Kurt's greatest joy in life comes from his faith and his dedication to serving God.
